The Environmental Services Division of Garc SpA created in 1994, after the initial experience with the disposal of inert and wood coming mainly from their construction sites, gradually implements services for the remediation of land, collection, treatment and disposal of industrial waste solids and liquids.

Decommissioning
A full range of services of remediation the site which range from removal and disposal off-site to on-site treatment. On-site options may include active treatment in-situ or bioremediation. Garc specialists have the experience and training to tackle the issues that can affect not only the site and soil, but also a full range of environmental problems related to the construction sector, in particular pre-demolition and decontamination. The intervention process involves the prior investigation of the site, evaluation of the costs and time required adjustment of the legal or property (land reclamation, demolition or redevelopment). The analysis shall include, in addition to the environmental aspects, plants and structure of the buildings; in synergy with the Constructions and Infrastructures Division. Project and Planning of the intervention, intervention, analysis of results and certification.
Due Diligence
Risks to health, safety and the environment can result in financial and reputation loss. Legal compliance, pollution historic or the presence of hazardous materials such as asbestos assessments are essential in real estate and corporate transactions. The intervention process involves, first, the analysis of available data (virtual and physical), inspection, preparation of a report comprising the results of prior risk assessment, the assessment of any civil or criminal liability, suggestions. Followed by specific investigations on site, preparing a second report comprising the intervention detailed estimate of remediation and/or abatement of pollution. Finally, remediation of contamination identified, noise, vibration or odors abatement, analysis of results and certification.
Special Waste Management
For the know-how acquired over more than thirty years of activity, the receptive capacity of its plants and the timeliness and quality of interventions, waste management activity of Garc is reference point in the sector, for public and private clients.
Between sorting plants, that present in Ca.Re. ltd, participated company of the group- is one of the platforms for selection automated waste most technologically advanced between those operating in Italy; able to manage more than 60,000 tons of waste a year. Compared to a standard selection plant waste, the use of optical readers allows a much higher percentage of recovery, a degree of cleanliness of the material in higher output with peaks of 97% compliance and times almost halved.
